Change Of Plans... Metal Detecting A Beautiful Spot

In this episode I'm detecting a beautiful spot with a few nice surprises...

This pattern repeats itself over and over... I'm on my way to a location, but often something else catches my eye.
I made my first good find after only a few coil swings. The soil looked promising, with a relatively thin layer of humus above. With a perfect weather on top, what more could you ask for?

I realized quickly that the area has already been detected. People that hunted this place must have concentrated on the left and middle side, which was closer to the path. I walked straight into a small spot with some overlooked finds.
The presence of big finds really surprised me.

I then moved deeper into the forest, to scout the area a little bit. Unfortunately the type of trees changed very soon and so did the soil conditions. The layer of humus increased, which means that all older finds were out of reach. I moved back and continued where I started (by going backwards). That's where the silver coin appeared. A cherry on top...

What can I say... I felt a little bit "spoiled" and couldn't really believe it. I think, it would be a good idea to revisit this place in the future.
