Advanced Left, Right and Mid techniques in Excel - Extracting names and postcodes

In this video we'll be showing you some more advanced uses of the functions highlighted in the number 5 spot of our Top 5 Excel Features Series.

In particular, we'll be showing you how to extract the first and last name from a full name (forename and surname) and how to extract the region code from a UK postcode. We'll be using a variety of functions, and breaking our formulae down to show how they work.
