Concerned residents speak out as Kirkby police crackdown launched 🎤

Residents have aired their frustrations following a spate of vandalism in Kirkby which has led to Merseyside Police putting a 48-hour dispersal zone in place. It was rolled out at 6pm on Friday, March 6, and runs until 5.59pm on Sunday, March 8. The measures will take hold in Kirkby, increasing Merseyside Police's powers.

The dispersal zone covers the areas within, including and bounded by the Hall Lane, Cherryfield Drive, Hall Lane, County Road, Webster Drive and Cherryfield Drive. There will be a high visible police presence with officers in the area to deal with any incidents.

Should a person who has previously been directed to leave the area return, an offence would be committed, which they may ultimately be arrested for.
