An angry shoplifter was spotted in TKMaxx smashing the security scanners and tussling with a guard.

The infuriated man let his temper flare after staff attempted to stop him from leaving for allegedly snatching items.

Upon his exit, he decided to smash up the security scanners as shoppers watched on in horror.

The scenes took place in TKMaxx in Monument Mall, on Northumberland Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, as reported by NeedToKnow.
