Tony Schumacher on living in his car to writing a hit BBC show

For Tony Schumacher, he's always just one day away from being back on the taxis. The 58-year-old has become one of the UK's most in-demand screenwriters after his show, The Responder, became a universally acclaimed hit.

The Huyton showrunner's second prestige BBC drama, The Cage, arrives on BBC One at 9pm tomorrow (April 26), but Tony is never one to take success for granted, as he knows more than most how quickly life can change. I'm convinced I'm going to be back driving a taxi next week."
