Czech Lady a.k.a. Bulgarian Betty is the name given to a numbers station that was believed to have been broadcasted from Czechoslovakia. Czech Lady started broadcasting around the late 1970s. It was believed to have been ran by the Czechoslovak Intelligence and first used "The Skylark" tune but was later replaced with electric tones. The station intended recipient was a Swedish Spy. Czech Lady was last heard around the 1990s.

When heard, Czech Lady broadcasted first electric tones and then a female voice was heard reading out numbers in Czech. The recording was said to be live and not automated. One transmission you can hear a male voice reading out numbers.

This recording was discovered and recorded by Jochen Schafer and uploaded it on Simon Mason's now defunct website. It was labeled under the Czechoslovakian station in the S10 family. It is believed to have been Czech Lady itself. Respect to Simon Mason and Jochen Scafer it said on his site it was a male voice, but it's actually a female voice if you listen to the recording. Another youtuber Mary Johnson Shortwave Listener claimed that this recording was not Czech Lady and a unknown Yugoslav numbers station. She said that the voice sounds similar to S08 "YT" a Yugoslavian numbers station. Simon Mason believes it is Czech Lady. This is a rare recording and unfortunately you cannot find it on Simon Mason's site because it is defunct. But if you go on the Wayback Machine on your computer and search the file it will automatically download it for you! Link is in the comment site.
