TRANSCRIPT
I'm originally from Bruges in Belgium, I came to London in 2007 at the age of 15 and I've been working with the Royal Ballet for 5 years now. I first got into dancing at the age of 4, I'm also a twin and we both used to figure skate and do ballet.
(filmmaker Laura) And then, when you were growing up, did you get any stigma when you were doing ballet? I think a lot of male dancers have that when they are younger, a lot of people think that it's just standing on your toes and twirling around. I always say to those people: come watch me now and you can see the big leaps we do, all the big lifts that we have to do, it's very different from what they think it is. So I think, as children, I might have been bullied a little bit but not anymore.
I like teaching, I've just got my teacher's diploma to teach dance. This is my chance to maybe develop into being a choreographer for after my career. But I don't know what I'm gonna do yet, it's just, it's nice to put your creativity into a piece and show people your inspirations.
