I Try Lontong Sayur For The First Time #Shorts

In today's episode I try Indonesian food for the very first time. So I went out to Philly to this Indonesian restaurant called Sky Cafe and picked up these three dishes. The first dish I got was the Sate Padang and the second one is the Mie Goreng and the third dish is the Lontong Sayur. Guys I've never had Indonesian food before. So I'm so excited to have this. Right now there's so many delicious smells that I'm smelling right now. I can't wait to try this!

- Lontong Sayur ($9) - Firm rice with veggie curry, beef rendang, sambal goreng, spicy egg, cracker, peanut
Let's try the Lontong Sayur next. This is Firm Rice with Coconut Veggie Curry. The rice crackers are so crispy and soaked in all that coconut milk soup. The soup itself has a coconut with spicy smell to it. I get this coconut kind of spicy kind of oily kind of taste to it. It looks like it's a vegetable kind of soup. It has beef chunks in it, potatoes marinated in this sweet sauce, hardboiled egg with sambal goreng and beef rendang. Last but not least it has chunks of the lontong which is like firm rice cubes. The egg had this fried kind of shell to it - it was so interesting - never had a hardboiled egg like this before. Plus it had this spicy sambal on it - I love spicy foods so this was right up my alley. The whole dish had this nice peanutty smell and had chunks of some kind of nut in there too. This has so much flavor and textures going on - I LOVED THIS DISH! Easily my favorite!
