Coming Out To Myself: Admitting I'm Gay To Myself (Animation) | Gay Christian

I feel like I hear a lot about people coming out to their family and friends, but before I even considered that, I needed to, well, come out to myself.

Coming out to myself, or admitting I'm gay to myself, was a painful confession. It's not like I didn't think I was gay. I just pushed those thoughts out of my mind. I never dwelled on those thoughts. But when I finally was honest with myself and told myself, "I'm gay" for the very first time, I got into a bit of an undiagnosed depression.

It wasn't easy. It wasn't fun. But it was something I needed to do to live with myself and get to where I am today.

In this my story animated gay style video, I share this self-admission of my homosexuality. I wonder though, has this ever happened to you? Or do most LGBTQ folks not go through a "coming out to myself" like I did? Let me know in the comments! I'd live to hear.

Perhaps it's my conservative background or Christian upbringing that made it extra difficult?
