I Fell In Love With My Straight Best Friend From Church (Animation)

This video is my first time ever sharing that I actually was in love with my best friend from church. I had always been in denial, even to myself. But I've come to accept and embrace that I indeed was in love with him. And I will not be ashamed of feelings I have for someone.

Yes, that's right. I fell in love with my straight best friend from church. And it wasn't just one of those short infatuations. It was over the course of years of friendship and caring for each other starting in college and years after graduating. It was and is true love.

I just finished watching Your Name Engraved Herein, the top-grossing Taiwanese LGBTQ film of all time (to this day), and the acting and representation alone are worth recommending this movie to anyone and everyone!

It really inspired me to share my own story of a true and pure love I had for another boy. Like how A-Han said in the movie, this love is not lust. It's not about physical intimacy. I truly wanted my friend Nathan to accept me in his heart. And I dare to say who I love.

But as many of these stories go, a bittersweet ending is almost inevitable. What do you expect? The boy is straight. But he's happy today, and that makes me happy.

So I bumped up this video in my upload schedule because of my recent inspiration. Hopefully, you will find this story relatable, helpful, or enjoyable.
