This is my arrangement of two traditional Christmas tunes that are dear to me. The first tune is a traditional Scottish piece called "Lullaby of the Christ Child" or some just call it "Christ Child Lullaby" ("TáLadh Chriosta"). The other tune is a more known English carol called Coventry Carol. Bringing these two pieces together was something neat and special for me since I don't do that many medleys. These two pieces just fit really well together. I'm a jazz guy and I love sophisticated and rich harmonies. I'm also Scottish so the drone Scottish sound is something I also hold dear. I heard a medley of this in a Celtic Christmas album my folks bought many years ago and it was such a beautiful lullaby with keyboard pads sounds and violin. I always enjoyed that piece and found it rather calming that I thought it'd be cool to capture that as a solo guitar arrangement. I hope you enjoy these to Christmas tunes as I enjoyed arranging and playing them!
