This is my arrangement of a worship song by Rich Mullins called "Step By Step". I love this song because Rich Mullins' featured the bagpipe and had a Scottish vibe in his version on his album "Songs 2". For my guitar arrangement I tried to stay as true as possible to that Scottish vibe and sound like I'm playing the bagpipe but on the guitar. For the first time through the form of the song a boy is singing the melody. So, for my arrangement that higher voice is portrayed with harmonics and Rich Mullins' voice along with his piano accompaniment is portrayed with the lower octave of the melody and my harmony choices being what Mullins' played on the piano. I hope you enjoy my arrangement and performance of this great song from Rich Mullins. The song has a fantastic message but also has a fantastic melody and harmony. I like tunes that can stand strong as an instrumental.
