Put On a Happy Face, arrangement by Joe Pass

"Put On a Happy Face" is a popular song made by Charles Strouse with lyrics by Lee Adams. "It was introduced by Dick Van Dyke in the musical Bye Bye Birdie" (Wikipedia). The first version I heard this song from was Tony Bennett in his "Duets: An American Classic" album. This particular arrangement is from the great jazz guitarist, Joe Pass. He never recorded this tune in one of his albums but there is a live concert video of him playing this tune. Such a great tune and great arrangement. I hope you enjoy my performance of Joe's take on the tune. He improvised his arrangements and I simply enjoy playing them and learning from them.
