We're moving out! Packing up the Bus: Where to start?
Phase 1 of moving out!
Welp. Every part of the sale of our bus has been an uphill battle, but we kind of expected it since our bus Irie will be headed to Canada. This means, International money transfers, importing, dealing with brokers, and registering the bus as a motor home.
After waiting over a month to receive our Motorhome registration from Vermont, we received it in the mail and to our dismay it was WRONG. So, we had to wait another week to receive a corrected version.
Although we are still in waiting mode as our buyer finalizes all the small details and prepares to order the transport, we are trying to prepare ourselves and the bus as best we can. Since we are still living in it while we wait, it has been difficult to begin the packing process. We live in a tiny home, and don't have a whole lot, so most of what we do have we actually use on a daily basis, which makes choosing what to pack up and what to leave for the remainder of the time we have the bus a bit difficult.
We're nearing the end of the sale, and are gearing up to live tent life with our two dogs while we make our new bus livable. It should all be very interesting, but at this point, I think the anticipation of it all is getting to us.
If you have any packing tips or tips for living in a tent with 2 dogs, we'd love to hear them! Thanks for watching as we embark on this huge life transition that has us both nervous and excited.
