Will we ever have a fridge again?! Running the wiring in our Skoolie!
It's so hard not to become stir-crazy during this part of the build. We're doing a lot, but often at the end of a long day we look around and feel like we haven't done much because much of the projects we've been working on are behind-the-scenes things that have to be done before we can do anything else.
Since we're living in the bus while rennovating, certain things take precidence, I.E. a fridge, oven, and running water being among the top priorities. And after going without these amenities for so long, I can honestly say being able to go groccery shopping and having access to refridgerated goods is such a relief!
We will be posting a full video explaining our power system, how we did it, and why we chose to do it the way we did in the coming weeks. But first, I am going to brag on Miles a little bit. He has done so much research, and over the last 2 years, he has done 3 complete solar and battery setups, in addition to helping friends we've met during our travels with theirs. He has become a bit of a pro when it comes to batteries and has put so many long hours into building an easily accesible, organized electrical cabinet, in addition to hours and hours of planning how we would wire the bus, and where everything would go. We can't wait to see all of this hard work pay off when we're back off-grid in this dream tiny home on wheels that we're building!

Also, RecPro has everything for RVs, the 12V fridge we have from them is not only beautiful, and large enough to fit everything we could need for boondocking long term (being 16 cu ft large), but even more important this beast of a fridge pulls such low power (avg 50 watts) making it the perfect fit. If you're planning to make a purchase from RecPro's large offering of products, use our link to save 5% on your purchase: https://www.recpro.com/?referral=8ARYW09
Now with our walls and wiring officially up and running, we are excited to jump into plumbing, and then, finally getting to frame out the reaminder of the bus and begin putting all of our design and layout ideas for this bus into action.
