Wartime roads in Ukraine - #UKRAINE 🇺🇦 🇬🇧 🇷🇴

Hi guys, this is part of a recent aid run into Ukraine, heading from #Khmelnytskyi where we spent a night and onto #Kyiv via Zhytomyr. I decided to make this video with a focus on the roads in Ukraine and the frustration at driving on some of them. Here I am not talking about roads in the far East that have been affected by the war and having to use secondary makeshift roads through farmland or paddocks, I am talking about ordinary roads away from the conflict zone.

People undoubtedly will say stop carrying on they are at war and give them a break. My response is I do this for a number of reasons, first and foremost I have to use them to bring in aid for soldiers and civilians alike, same as many others. Secondly for me it reflects the lack of interest in infrastructure support and development that was evident prior to the war, linked to issues Ukraine had with corruption. Many good ordinary working class people have died in this war for their country and to benefit all Ukrainians and the country is united like never before, so I hope this is not forgotten after the war.

There are some great highways in Ukraine but they are the exception West to East and North to South, get off these and you get a mixture of good down to terrible. People like farmers who support the massive agricultural industry, need to get produce to market in a timely manner for example, yet vehicles crawl along at 10km/h on some roads.
