⛴ Gateway to #GALLIPOLI and ANZAC Cove | CANAKKALE - Turkey | ⛴ 🇹🇷

Did a quick trip to Turkey from my home in Bucharest in Romania. Wanted to go and see #ANZAC Cove in the Gallipoli Peninsula in far North Western Turkey. If anyone does not know what ANZAC is, look it up on the net, its a historic place for Australians and New Zealanders and to a lesser extent, British, for the site of a battle against the Turkish in WW1.

This third video is some footage around the town of #Canakkale (pronounced Cha-nakkale) which is in far North West Turkey, on the Southern side of the Dardanelles Strait. The Dardanelles is the strategic waterway passage that separates the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara and also an entrance to the Black Sea. Canakkale is the perfect location for those wishing to visit ANZAC Cove on the Gallipoli side of the peninsula. You can stay on the other side, but for the sake of a great 15min ferry boat ride and staying in Canakkale which has a lively atmosphere and great views, stay in Canakkale!

This was early the next morning looking for a coffee and breakfast and getting ready to put the car back on the ferry boat and cross the Strait and drive to ANZAC Cove. The video shows us crossing back over and starting the 20km drive to the turn off to the Gallipoli Peninsula and ANZAC Cove.

If you are coming to Turkey to experience the ANZAC sites and memorials, then there is a hotel called the ANZAC Hotel located at 4CX2+RW. You cant miss it, has the big letters ANZAC down the side of it and only 200m at the most from the ferry terminal. Normal 3 star hotel, clean and comfortable and great value for money and staff were superb. They really miss the tourists from Australia and New Zealand with the border closures and kept asking why the rest of the worlds tourists were still coming but not Australia! So if you want a nice cheap hotel, centrally located, then stay there and support them. I will leave a link at the end of the video.
