Parcul Pantelimon Bucharest, Winter 2019 - Beautiful Snow

This is Parcul Pantelimon or Pantelimon Park that borders Lake Pantelimon as well. About 8kms from central Bucharest and there is a metro station called Pantelimon right next to it. Its nice to come to after a good snow dump as its more open and captures more snow on the ground than the city centre, plus just looking at the snow in the trees and all white is always beautiful. You can then walk down to the large lake which divides Bucharest and Ilfov counties and its often frozen over and you see ice fisherman out and about.

Families and kids bring out the sleds and tobogans as the park has some slopes which make it ideal for that. If you want nice powdery thick snow to just dive in or make a snowman, its worth a look. Also has a little kiosk right on the metro exit so you can get a drink, snack, coffee.
