About Hip Dips
First up, hip dips are totally normal. I have hip dips, and I am certainly not ashamed of them, neither should you be.
How obvious your hip dips appear is down to a few different things (again- please remember they are normal!) These include the anatomy of your pelvis and hips and the distribution of fat and muscle in your body.
Now as we already know, we cannot spot reduce fat. We cannot choose where we loose fat from in our body. We can however loose fat as a whole by exercising and being in calorie deficit. Please bare in mind, I am a huge advocate of a healthy, non-restrictive lifestyle, which DOES not include massively restricting what you eat.
In terms of exercise, as well as burning calories, we can also target specific muscle groups and joints to build muscle in that area, which will lead to sculpting and toning.
Please remember that we cannot spot reduce fat, meaning we can’t choose the areas on our body where we loose fat. However to get fat loss results I recommend the following
1. Being in calorie deficit
2. Cardio/ HIIT workout (I often call these Fat Loss/Burn workouts on my channel)
3. Specific muscle targeted workouts. To strengthen and develop specific muscles.
The key to achieving your fitness and health goals is consistency and healthy lifestyle changes, without restriction. I don’t believe in crazy fad diets. Simply eat nutritious food, move your body, smile and enjoy the journey! Love Lilly
