092023 MAGNOLIA MOTORCYCLE FATAL

Just before 6 pm Wednesday, Magnolia Fire was dispatched to a major accident involving a motorcycle, IT was reported on FM 1774 about 1 mile north of FM 1486. Units arrived on the scene to find a motorcyclist deceased. DPS is investigating the crash. The motorcycle was northbound on FM 1774 at a high rate of speed. A female driver in her sixties was southbound in a Toyota Tundra pickup and turned left onto O'Neal Lane. The motorcycle struck the truck almost head-on causing the motorcycle to break into multiple pieces. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. THe Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office along with Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Office assisted DPS. Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Milstead Wreckers picked both motorcycle and truck up to transport to impound.
