Riga, It's So Good To See-Ya - Latvia & The Baltic Coast | Next Stop Everywhere

We're still loving life on our Big Baltic Adventure in Latvia, as we arrive into the stunning capital city, Riga!

Follow us on a wander around this beautiful place, packed with winding streets, interesting architecture and inspiring history, and then take in the magnificent Central Market, housed in five former Zeppelin airship hangers - what a location, and what amazing produce, and treats!

From Riga we set out into the countryside bound for the gorgeous Gauja National Park. A stop off to see the amazing Turaida Castle (sorry if we pronounced that incorrectly!) and all the reconstructed Latvian historic buildings that surround it - it was truly fascinating! Then we make tracks to the lovely little city of Cēsis, for another wander and a chance to relax in the famous 13th century castle gardens, while spotting a black swan or two.

Finally, before we hit the Estonian border in Valka, we have a couple of days off at the brilliant Camping Apaļkalns, where we swim, paddleboat and just have a good old fashioned camp-out, with a fire and a bottle of something french and bubbly too!

Thanks for the memories Latvia, you've been amazing... and we WILL be back!
