Lot 137 - Swiss, quarter repeater w/chronograph, 18K HC

EPW - Unsigned Swiss, quarter-hour repeater with chronograph, 51mm, 18K gold original HC, gold cuvette, white enamel SS impressed dial, SW-shift-locking-LS, lever escapement, 16-17J, gilt mvt, s#7549 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 68.6 dwt (106.7 g).

CONDITION: Mvt: Running, inconsistent repeat function as mechanism engages but only repeats back one or two hours and somewhat random quarter-hours and occasionally gets stuck either having a long delay before it repeats or will repeat most hour and have a delay between the rest, repeater tone is often "tinny" and sometimes has a buzzing type sound, good chronograph function, overhaul needed for repeater function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, slightly hazy plates with scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, minor oxide to steelwork, missing one chronograph element's screw; dial with grouping of fine scratches between 9 and 10, edge wear under bezel; fine-plus hands with oxide; case shows little wear, scattered dents and dings to cuvette and band, few dings to front and rear, case rear and cuvette open less than 90 degrees, case front lift spring opens slightly slowly; tight bow, crown shows light wear; plastic crystal with few short fine scratches to center.
