Audi SQ5 TDI Sportback 2021 review: is it better with a diesel engine?

The SQ5 is the only performance version of the Q5 SUV and, in the UK, it’s only available with a diesel engine in the UK. But does that make it any less fun to drive and own?

It’s certainly got the numbers on paper: the 3.0-litre diesel V6 produces 341hp and 700Nm of torque, which is good for a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds. All while carrying up to five people and a whole lot of luggage in the boot. And although this is the Sportback model (aka has a sloping roofline) it actually doesn’t cut into boot space nearly as much as you might imagine. So is the SQ5 TDI the ultimate all-rounder?
