i took a few mondays off.
there's an entire video filmed, edited, and i think i will ultimately scrap. the weekly upload schedule has been helpful and fun to a degree, but i might change my mind again. and upload whenever from now on. because the truth is-
life is changing a lot. a lot a lot for me as of late.
a big part of that is accessing what does and doesn't serve me- gaining clarity in order to move with intention and create value with my time and energy. there is so much i want to say, and i wonder if i'm being cryptic by not explaining in length- but i'll start slowly, and maybe in a sequence of videos, things will piece together and the context will make a lot more sense.
show, not tell- right?
april has been a lush month where i took a lot of time to turn inward, and took what felt like huge courageous steps to face a lot of fears and points of resistance that's been pain points for years. such as facing my ego when it comes to my art and writer's block, facing my people pleaser when it comes to over-commiting and extending myself to near burnout repeatedly, and so on.
youtube has become my job and livelihood for so long now that it became hard to remember how it FELT to love doing it genuinely in the first place. and you could say the same sometimes for art, or for even very personal things like how i carry myself/interact with loved ones. it can get easy to become a version of yourself you think the world will love most. but the truth is you are born exactly as you're meant to be. the rest is just what you feel like doing with it.
and life was a whole lot harder than it had to be, because of my core belief that i must suffer to earn love and acceptance.
all really heavy stuff, right? damn.
i hope this little letter today could remind you that i am here! we are in this together, and i want to share my journey and these thoughts to comfort and inspire other souls who connect with me on these sentiments ❣️ i hope to return soon and definitely, in each video, i prioritize showing up as authentically as possible :D
