🧚🏼‍♂️Refurbishing the Succulent Terrariums // WE 🙂WEDNESDAY

a peek into one of Mom's great loves- creating fairy gardens in the side-yard!
(our backyard is my grandma's turf, primarily full of fruit and vegetables growing) My mom never had a passion for gardening nor did she feel she had a green thumb. When my sister and I left for college, and my grandfather passed away the year after, my mom had to step in and upkeep the yard in his absense. It was then she realized how relaxing and enjoyable it is, and she especially fell in love with succulents. As she explained for one of the plants, she received a TINY bud from a friend in 2005, and the resilient nature of the succulent flowers has allowed it to multiply and thrive into huge flowers all over the backyard now. She would spent entire days outside, which is a great way for her to get fresh air and some vitamin D too, so I'm really glad she has this outdoor hobby on top of her hobby of scrapbooking.
My mom says fairy gardens need little landscapes like waterfalls, fountains, animals and other sculptures to complete her terrariums- so I will make some for her out of clay and maybe ceramics in the future. : ) I hope you enjoyed these few moments with us in the garden, and I will see you soon~
