Aid for Recuperating Ukrainian Soldiers - Kyiv - 😢 - #UKRAINE 🇺🇦 🇬🇧 🇷🇴

In this video, myself, Max and Neil are delivering comfort supplies to one of several military hospitals in #Kyiv, where wounded soldiers from all over Ukraine, come to be operated on, to be treated and to recuperate.

We will normally receive a list of items from a local Nurse, describing what the warriors need and we go shopping and then deliver to the hospital. It can be a range of general items or include some specialised requests. Many of the soldiers here come from areas far from Kyiv so they have no relatives nearby and the help we can provide, goes a long way.

Brilliant staff here, the Nurse was an angel and hospital itself is one of the best around. That said another difficult video as we met a few soldiers with their permission and that of their relatives and this ward was mainly treating head injuries. Some of the cases brought us to tears. The two young girls whose vehicle hit a mine, lying in bed so frail and with terrible injuries and heavily sedated, will stick in my head forever. The resilience of the mother and the wives and the younger siblings we also met, was just heartbreaking. Again all this tragedy for nothing, just because one man in Moscow has an ego and small man syndrome.

Max as always finds the best place to deliver what is needed and as I publish this video, he is making another hospital run a day after myself and Neil have left Ukraine. We will be back of course and will continue to build networks and seek donors and volunteers. Neil was great to have along and grew into everything as the trip progressed.
