Detailed biomechanical and pathomechanical analysis of spine, the lecture focus on introduction to biomechanics of spine. The spine or vertebral column is one of the most complex joints in the body serving diverse functions of stability and mobility at the same time.The spine complex involves 33 vertebra and 23 inter-vertebral discs which are arranged in 5 regions. The lecture discuss the concept of curves of the spine, what are the primary curves? What is kyphotic curve? What is lordotic curve etc.
Further it focus on the concept of mobile segment. What is mobile segment and what are its function. Later on we discuss the typical vertebra, the parts of typical vertebra in detail.
A clinical condition known as Spondylotic Spondylolithesis is discussed in detail along with key concepts such as pars interarticularis , trabecular system of spine etc in detail.
Later on important questions and MCQ that can be asked both for competitive exams and universities exams are discussed.
