In Episode 2, “The Man in the Straw Hat,” Luffy’s adventure heats up as Zoro and Luffy’s bond is tested, Luffy convinces master thief Nami (Emily Rudd) to join their quest for a map to the Grand Line, and the trio narrowly escape Shells Town with treasure, bikes, and a target on their backs — including the arrival of the infamous Buggy the Clown (Jeff Ward) on their trail. (As the foundation of the Straw Hat crew forms and we see the early blend of heart, humor, and swashbuckling action, this reaction breaks down the iconic setups, character introductions, and the beginning of one of the most ambitious live-action anime adaptations ever made.
