Federal and state governments provide permits and funding for emergency levee repairs at Yuba City

At a press conference on the levee at Yuba City August 3, local, state and federal officials announced the California Department of Water Resources is supplying the funding and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has supplied the permit allowing the Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency to repair three miles of levees at Yuba City before the next flood season. There will be heavy construction until the end of November.
