Sam’s Town Abbey Road Version (Guitar)- The Killers - Sawdust - Live Day & Age Tour

This is how Dave Keuning played the song during the Day & Age Tour of 2008-2009.

I’ve used the same finger positions as Dave, based on viewing performances on YouTube.

The guitar is tuned to dropped Db.

Whilst Dave played an acoustic Gibson J45 on the actual Abbey Road studio recording of Sam’s Town that's on the Sawdust album, an electric guitar was used during the live gig and festival performances.

The tuning is the same as the original version of Sam’s Town, but the guitar parts are more simplified, being all chords and the guitar doesn't enter the song until after the first chorus.

Guitar-wise, Dave used a natural/blond 1975 Fender Starcaster.

I’m using a natural/blonde 1977 Fender Starcaster.

There were no effects used live and the amp setting was fairly clean.
