Moonage Daydream (Guitar) - The Killers - Live Hot Fuss Tour

This is how Dave Keuning played the song during the Hot Fuss Tour, in 2005.

The guitar is tuned to Eb.

The Killers performed this cover of the David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust) song 8 times towards the end of the tour.
There are a couple of videos on YouTube (but not the full song) and a couple of reasonable audio only performances, one of which I’ve used here.
Using the above resources, it’s not too difficult to work out exactly (or very close to) how the song was played, including the outro solo.

Guitar-wise, Dave used his ebony Gibson Les Paul Custom.

I’m using a 2001 ebony Gibson Les Paul Custom.

There are no obvious effects used in the song; I did, however use a bit of reverb to slot in with the audio recording (particularly needed to make the pick scrapes sound right) and a Boss FB-2 pedal to boost the middle and outro solos and add a bit of feedback at the end of the song.
