Under The Gun (Guitar) - The Killers - Sawdust

This is how Dave Keuning played the song during the Hot Fuss Tour of 2004-2005.

I’ve used the same finger positions as Dave, after studying YouTube videos of performances from the time.

The guitar is tuned to Eb.

Things to note, are:
- the particular strumming pattern in the pre-chorus.
- after playing the first two octaves in the chorus, Dave moves his fingers into position to be able to slide up to the Bm chord shape at the 14th fret.
- the last chord of the chorus (Bm7) is not an octave. This is the same at the end of the song, except to finish the song he does play two octaves, C & C# in this tuning.
- at the end of the last pre-chorus, there is slide up to strum a chord, fretting the Gb and Bb strings at the 19th fret.

Guitar-wise, Dave mainly used his ebony Gibson Les Paul Custom, for this song, but he also played with his Ibanez 2459.

I used a 2001 Gibson Les Paul Custom.

There are no effects on the song. Dave was probably just using the Drive channel on his Fender Hot Rod Deville.
