Marine life of the South Ari Atoll - Maldives

Been to the Maldives. What a marinelife hotspot this is. Spent 10 days volunteering with MWSRP and had so many extraordinary sightings.
Still can´t find the right words. It was outstanding!
Enjoy this chill´in video about the marine life around the South Ari Atoll, also called the Alif Dhaal Atoll. The area is protected through the South Ari Marine Protected Area (SAMPA) and is the largest protected area in the Maldives encompassing 42 km² of coral reef habitat.

We were lucky enough to see whale sharks, feeding vertically (rhincodon typus), had a closeup encounter with a beautiful reef manta ray (mobula alfredi) and even more special following a big school of shortfin devil ray (mobula kuhlii). Besides this it is common to see spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris), hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and all kind of sharks like whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus), silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) and an abundant amount of all kind of fishes and marine life. ...there are around 30,000 species of fish in the world's oceans. 30,000! There are also 5,000 species of coral and a host of other species and forms of life.
Not having the right gear for underwater photograpy or videography all is filmed with the GoPro7.
