some short wildlife snaps from a recent trip to Sri Lanka. The pearl of the Indian Ocean has one of the highest rates of biological endemism in the world.
I was lucky enough to watch the elsusive Sri Lankan leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya), Sri Lankan elephant (Elephas maximus maximus), Grey Slender Loris (Loris lydekkerianus), Sri Lankan Green Pit Viper (Craspedocephalus trigonocephalus), Sri Lankan Giant Squirrel (Ratufa macroura), Bear Monkey (Semnopithecus vetulus ssp. monticola), Yellow Sea Snake (Hydrophis spiralis), Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus),Spinner Dolphin (Stenella longirostris) and many birds.
