💻FOUR Work From Home Productivity Tips (For Self-Employed & Remote Work)
Set Yourself Up For Success! 🙋🏻♀️
A lot of people are feeling displaced working from home and away from their usual work environments, so I put together some basic tips to start getting you on the right track.
Working from home can feel like freedom, but don't let that notion get the best of you; it requires a lot of self-discipline to be productive and efficient with your time. I have 4 tips to help you use your time wisely so you can start building better remote-work habits:
1. Set The Mood (1:17)
Being in a workspace that I actually enjoy and that has all the tools I need for my tasks helps me to stay inspired and focused. The worst thing whether you're at the office or working remote is when you can't finish a task because your environment is distracting or you don't have the tools you need!
2. Create Task-lists and a Schedule (2:35)
Make sure you know your objective(s) for the day and create ways to keep yourself accountable to how you are spending your time.
3. Take Productive Breaks (3:41)
It's easy to get distracted, so pre-schedule breaks throughout your work-day with specific activities that usually take up your attention. Being intentional with your time means that you can even make play and rest time more meaningful and useful.
4. End Your Work Day With A Self-Audit (5:12)
Before you pack it all up and call it a day, go over your task list to see how much work you actually accomplished and identify whether you used your time well. Make any workflow adjustments necessary for the next day and tweak it so you can find the flow that works best for you.
I'd love to know some of your best practices for working remote, so please share in the comments below!
