Join me as I tackle one of Taiwan’s most famous mid-altitude peaks. Located in Taichung, Mt. Yuanzui (鳶嘴山, 2180m) is a very popular hike that presents a unique challenge, but once you get to the top the rewards are well worth the effort.

Transport:
Mt Yuanzui is an extremely popular hike and is very crowded at the weekend so it’s best to climb during the week if possible. It not, then I would suggest arriving as early as possible as parking can be problematic.
Bus 251 takes you directly to the trailhead, but it only runs on weekends. You can find the schedule here:
