The Trail
There are three bike trails that cover different parts of the island. We did a 10km loop trail that takes you past some coastline and back to the main town via some pretty salt lakes.
There are also 5 walking trails that range in length from 5.9km to 10km.
There is also a get-on get-off shuttle bus service that circles the island.

Travel Logistics
Getting to Rottnest Island is easy, although it can be quite expensive. There are three ferry companies that run services between Perth, Fremantle and Rottnest, they are Rottnest Express (https://rottnestexpress.com.au/), Rottnest Fast Ferries (https://www.rottnestfastferries.com.au/) and Sealink Rottnest Island (https://www.sealinkrottnest.com.au/).
Some operators have specials during the week which works out much cheaper, while you can also combine with bike hire to save more. Check the websites for deals.
You can also save money by taking the train to Fremantle as the ferry terminal is only a 5 minute walk from the station.
Once on the island there is only one bike hire place, Pedal and Flipper (https://www.rottnestisland.com/pedalandflipper). Bikes cost A$30 per day for adults while an e-bike will set you back A$60.

Drone
Drones are not allowed on Rottnest Island without a permit.
