The Trail
The Greenough River Nature Trail is a 17km one-way trail that traverses both sides of the river. It is well maintained and an easy walk, meaning walking boots are not necessary.
As always when walking in Australia take precautions against the sun and take plenty of water along.

Travel Logistics
Geraldton is a large town around 5 hours north of Perth, while the trail is located at Cape Burney approximately 10km south of town.
Both Transwa (https://www.transwa.wa.gov.au/Plan-your-journey/Road-Coaches) and Integrity Coaches (https://www.integritycoachlines.com.au/) have regular bus services travel from Perth to Geraldton.
Burnt Barrel is located around 34km northeast of Geraldton just off Chapman Valley Road.

Drone
There are no known restrictions on the use of drones in the Greenough River Area. For guidelines on usage in WA National Parks please see here.
