The Danube Delta lies in the north east of Romania, this is where the Danube flows into the Black Sea. Family Burduja live in the small and isolated village of Letea. Husband and father Mitica is a fisherman and the family live off his daily catch and what his wife Rodica earns at the local village shop. There is no end to the fish recipes in Latea – from fish cakes to fish soup, supplemented by whatever the locals have growing in their gardens.
