Dalmatia - Fish and Seafood as Basis from the Local Cuisine | What's cookin'

The island of Mljet lies in Southern Dalmatia, 30 km from Dubrovnik and is still one of Croatia’s undiscovered jewels. Fish and seafood form the basis the local cuisine.

After university Ivo Srsen returned to his native island, and has a business plan to bring the island to a wider audience: little parcels of local Mljet sea salt, scratched from the rocks as tradition dictates, make for the perfect souvenir.

Learn about recipes like brodet with sardines (Brodet sa srdelama),
Dragonhead Fish Pot (Skarpina pod pekom), Octopus salad with chickpeas (Sipa sa slanutkom), carob cake (Kolac od rogaca), the pasta dish Makarule goat’s cheese (Makarule sa kozjim sirom).
What's cookin' is about traditional culinary recipes from different European regions.
