We Finally Get Windows at Our Italian Farmhouse House - Renovation & DIY Restoration

We're back with another video from the renovation of our abandoned Italian farmhouse.

In this episode - we finally get windows installed at the house after 6 months of living there without any at all! It was a BIG day for us, to say the least. Also, the builders are back on site after some time away and hit the ground running with the preparation for the final phase of the project.

Ed's dad comes for a visit and pulls up his sleeves, he gets stuck in with some painting and other jobs around the house. Plus we all take a trip to Alba for the weekly farmer's market and the annual truffle festival.

We sold our apartment in Stockholm, packed up the car and headed for Piemonte. After a couple of months searching for the right house we came across Our Italian Dream House and immediately made an offer. Four weeks later (just three days before Christmas) we signed the contract and had the keys.

It's now early 2022 and we have begun work on the epic renovation that stands before us. We are mortgage free and have a very limited budget so plan to take on as much of the renovation ourselves as possible – follow us on our journey as we turn an abandoned Italian farmhouse into our dream home.
