Welcome to the story of Our Italian Dream House.

We sold our apartment in Stockholm, packed up the car and headed for Piedmont in Italy. After a couple of months searching for the right house we came across Our Italian Dream House and immediately made an offer. Four weeks later (just three days before Christmas) we signed the contract and had the keys.

It's now early 2023 and work on this epic renovation is underway. We are mortgage free and have a very limited budget so plan to take on as much of the renovation ourselves as possible – follow us on our journey as we turn an abandoned Italian farmhouse in Piemonte into our dream home.

In this episode we renovate our chicken coop into a terrace for under €1000. Carrying out the works ourselves and sourcing the patio furniture from IKEA, really allowed us to complete this project on a tight budget!
