As soon as you move to Spain, more specifically to Seville, you'll notice the groves of orange trees that line the city's streets make your life in southern Spain full of pops of color.

In Part I of this video, we talked about the history of orange trees in Seville and about the importance of varying the tree profile of the city. Today watch as I taste test the bitter oranges of Seville to see if they really, truly are bitter.

We'll start in the Macarena! This neighborhood confused me for a second, because I had a different idea of where the Macarena was than the map. Thanks to my Instagram followers, we figured out the mystery. The Macarena neighborhood is different from the Macarena municipal district, which is where I got our first orange. Watch to see the flavor profile of this citrusy fruit. ;)

We continue on to Nervión, a seemingly commercial district which is actually quite residential once you stray from the two or three main streets that run through this part of Seville. I had a hard time recording here because of how nervous I get when I have to shoot around people. I ended up waiting two hours to shoot about a minute of video. Let's see if it was worth it!

Finally, we sample a specimen from my own district, the Casco Antiguo. Here it was really easy to shoot! Since a large part of this district has been transformed to cater to tourists, Santa Cruz, the part of the Casco Antiguo I chose, was pretty much empty.

I really like to walk around here and imagine what Seville used to be like back when this was just another neighborhood. But the orange trees have been residents of this neighborhood for a long time. Let's see if the orange I picked from the Patio de Banderas live up to our expectations.

Tan pronto como te mudes a España, más específicamente a Sevilla, notarás que los naranjos que bordean las calles de la ciudad hacen que tu vida en el sur de España esté llena de toques de color.

En la Parte I de este vídeo, hablamos sobre la historia de los naranjos en Sevilla y sobre la importancia de variar el perfil arbóreo de la ciudad. Hoy mira como pruebo las naranjas amargas de Sevilla para ver si realmente son amargas.

¡Empezaremos en la Macarena! Este barrio me confundió por un segundo, porque tenía una idea diferente de dónde estaba la Macarena que el mapa. Gracias a mis seguidores de Instagram, descubrimos el misterio. El barrio de la Macarena es diferente al término municipal de Macarena, que es donde conseguí nuestra primera naranja. Ve el vídeo para ver el perfil de sabor de esta fruta cítrica. ;)

Continuamos hacia Nervión, un distrito aparentemente comercial que en realidad es bastante residencial una vez que te alejas de las dos o tres calles principales que atraviesan esta parte de Sevilla. Me costó grabar aquí por lo nerviosa que me pongo cuando tengo que grabar en la calle. Terminé esperando dos horas para grabar alrededor de un minuto de video. ¡Veamos si valió la pena!

Finalmente, degustamos un ejemplar de mi propio barrio, el Casco Antiguo. ¡Aquí fue muy fácil disparar! Dado que una gran parte de este distrito se ha transformado para atender a los turistas, Santa Cruz, la parte del Casco Antiguo que elegí, estaba prácticamente vacía.

Me gusta mucho pasear por aquí e imaginar cómo era Sevilla cuando era un barrio más. Pero los naranjos son vecinos de este barrio desde hace mucho tiempo. Veamos si la naranja que recogí del Patio de Banderas está a la altura de nuestras expectativas.
