Gigafactory Texas on 11 January 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Giga Texas survived the rare snowstorm yesterday and crews were back at work, busy around the site as many more trucks arrived carrying steel parts and materials. Most of the snow is long gone, although a bit remains where there was some shade this early morning, and although there is some standing water, it is not so bad, and pumps and trucks were already at work removing water and directing it to the south detention pond.

Here are more highlights of today:
- There are now two new steel structures, one on the east side around where the "zipper pit" was, and one just south west of the biggest steel structure. These two are extended parts of the main steel structure and will likely be joined this week.
- The "smaller" steel structure on the west is not so small any longer and this term no longer makes sense as it's now got roof segments, two more rows of expansion to the north and four more segments to the south, including the emerging dock bay area that will extend most of the length of the western exterior
- Many of the cranes around the site were in action this morning, most on the four steel structures and three more cranes busy in the south at the concrete structure
- The main steel structure continues to grow as well, with the east extension gaining the entire length of roof from the roof peak to the east exterior wall and at multiple levels, all growing to the south. The roof segments on this area are completely composed of beams in lieu of the truss structures we've seen on other areas of the building.
- More footings have been constructed on the south west side of the foundation, continuing to grow to the south where GeoPier work has already been completed
- The large concrete structure is continuing to gain the exterior wall structural components ahead of actual wall pieces being installed, including many of the tall columns that the wall segments will attach to as well as top beams to tie the columns together. More columns have been installed on the north area over the isolation foundations and it appeared that preparations were underway to begin to hoist roof segments in this area later today.
- We take a closer look at the central isolation foundation where the previous scaffolding "cubed shaped" area has been dismantled, and more support rods have been installed
- The trench under the roofed in area now extends almost the entire length of the western side right at the base of all the columns ... you can easily see the column footings because so much dirt has been excavated
- We look at a clearing area to the far southeast from the concrete structure, then follow an access road along the Colorado river that leads over to the far east contractor trailer area ... this access dirt road is relatively new and allows for another way to move from the construction site to the trailer area
- More land levelling and cleanup is underway this morning around where the original 6 contractor trailers used to be before being moved farther west
