Passenger cars 🚗

By "car," we are referring to passenger cars,which are defined as motor vehicles with atleast four wheels, used for the transport ofpassengers and comprising no more thaneight seats in addition to the driver's seat.Cars (or automobiles) make up approximately74% of the total annual motor vehicleproduction in the world.
The remaining 26%, not included in thesestatistics, is made up of light commercialvehicles and heavy trucks (motor vehicleswith at least four wheels, used for the carriageof goods), buses,coaches, and minibusses(comprising more than eight seats in additionto the driver's seat)
By "production," we are following theconvention used by national tradeorganizations and referring to completely builtvehicles (CBU) as opposed to the assemblyof completely knocked down (CKD) orsemi-knocked down (SKD) sets when vehicleparts originate in another country.
In 2016,for the first time in history, over 70million cars passenger cars were produced ina single year.
