**Grandma's Chicken Goulash**
**Utensils**
Large skillet
3-quart saucepan
Spatula
Stirring spoon
Knife
2 forks
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Can opener
Drainer
Cutting board
**Ingredients**
1.25 pounds of skinless/boneless chicken breast, boiled and pulled
1/2 teaspoon of red pepper
1-1/2 cups of onions, chopped
2 cups of corkscrew dry pasta
14.5-ounce can of petite diced tomatoes
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1 teaspoon of chili powder
2 tablespoons of olive oil
**Preparations**
1. Wash chicken. Set aside.
2. In a 3-quart saucepan, boil 2 quarts of water, and place the chicken breast inside. Cook for 10-15 minutes. Drain the water and place the chicken on a cutting board. Pat the chicken dry after it is cool to the touch. Use 2 forks to pull the chicken apart.
**Instructions**
1. On medium-low heat, sauté pulled chicken, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper, and 1-1/2 cups of chopped onions in a large skillet.
2. On a different stove top burner, in a 2-quart saucepan, boil 2 quarts of water. Add a dash of salt. Add the 2 cups of dry corkscrew pasta and cook for 12 minutes or until tender. Set aside.
3. When the chicken and onions are finished cooking, add the canned, petite diced tomatoes
and 1/2 cup water; also add 1 teaspoon of garlic salt, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, and mix well.
4. Simmer for about 20 minutes; then drain the pasta, do not rinse. Add cooked pasta to the chicken mixture and mix well.
**Yields**
4-6 servings of Grandma's Chicken Goulash.
