The final show from Oasis’ joint ‘Supersonic Tour’ with Whiteout, the band arrive in a city which has already brought them fortunes similar to their local idols, The Beatles. Having learnt many tricks from Liverpudlian band The Real People for recording their Live Demonstration Tape and the Pink Museum Studios in the same city being the place where Noel wrote Supersonic, their first commercial single, this show was guaranteed to be a hot one. Unfortunately all we have from this show is Cigarettes & Alcohol, sourced from a video filmed from the side of the stage nearest Guigsy. This one song was released in 2016 on the Rolling Stone website to promote the Supersonic documentary. I believe other tiny snippets without audio have been included in other places, but this is the only substantial audio we have for the moment. The video itself is historical, as it features Liam putting his arms behind his back in his iconic stance for the first time in the “you gotta, you gotta” section of the song.
