The final night of the Japanese Tour, Oasis pull in a better performance than the last few days for the great audience that are present in Nagoya. Liam while still sounding rough and cracking a bit, definitely sounds a bit stronger here than the last two shows as he can get through some of the more vocally challenging songs like Rock N’ Roll Star and Slide Away a bit easier. Noel is a bit tighter and the rhythm section are still as fantastic as ever. Added to this, the audience recording here sounds far superior to Osaka and the last night in Tokyo too, so that also helps make this show an easier listen. The only amusing moments is Noel almost heading straight into Fade Away from Rock N’ Roll Star instead of starting Columbia, and Tony not really noticing his cue for Supersonic until Noel stops running his plectrum along the strings (knowing Noel he probably was getting a bit impatient with Tony). However a really nice moment comes before I Am The Walrus when Liam and Noel thank the audience on the trip in Japan and say thanks to the people who looked after them over the tour which adds to the already warm atmosphere. To cap it all off, the band perform an encore of Rock N’ Roll Star here (their first ever) and Liam has to grab Tony’s drumsticks for it. This show too runs for about 90 minutes because of the added encore, making it the longest show Oasis had played so far. Overall, if I was to recommend any Japan 1994 shows it would be either be the second night in Tokyo or this one as they both have great moments with the audience (this one more so) and good performances. The name Oasis were building up for themselves was beginning to spread round quickly, and by the time they got back to the U.K, they were quickly becoming one of the hottest acts in the country.
