Servant Bell Box

A bit of old electrical stuff here. These were originally from houses where servants were employed and would be summoned by a bell push. The earlier types were mechanical with pull wires, leavers, springs and bells. This is one of the early electrical types. A single bell would ring with a room or door bell push but these indicator boxes would be in areas like kitchens where the servant staff could see an indication of the room the request was made. These have been obsolete for many years and in some cases still fitted in old houses but generally broken and disconnected. Perhaps with the advent of AI these jobs will return before production of robot versions.
