How to Make Valentine Cookie Pops (chocolate filled) | Stacey Dee's Kitchen
This is a tutorial on how to make my chocolate-filled heart-shaped cookies on a stick; perfect for Valentine's Day or any other time you're feeling the love! Hit SUBSCRIBE to be notified of my new videos.
Hey there,
These cookies on a stick, made with a yummy soft vanilla dough and filled with chocolates are such fun to make, super yummy and the perfect bake to get the kids involved. I've used M&Ms and Caramel Nibbles but why not experiment with lots of different ideas?!
Mine are heart shaped but of course, any shape will do and the vanilla dough just makes an all-around great cookie any time of year.
Why not have a go yourself (and get the kids to help) then let me know how you get on by commenting below. Pics most welcome too, over on Instagram or Facebook (links below). Enjoy!
ABOUT ME
Hey there! I’m Stacey Hart, mum to 3 boys and semi-finalist on The Great British Bake Off 2017. I've always loved baking for friends and family and since GBBO aired lots of you have been asking me to share my recipes too. So I decided to share the fun, and create this channel, where I can show you what I get up to, how you can get the kids to help (sometimes!) and we'll hopefully end up with some fab creations you can share with your family & friends like I do. WARNING: Expect pink, glitter, and sprinkles. After all, I am who I am!

INGREDIENTS & METHOD
Ingredients
220g Caster Sugar
2 large Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
350g Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
Large pinch salt
Method
Cream together the butter and sugar
Add the vanilla essence and eggs and mix well to combine and make smooth
Add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix until just combined
Pour onto a floured surface and pull together into a ball
Refrigerate in a covered bowl for around 2 hours (can even be over night) This is very important as the dough is very soft and needs to harden to be rolled out nicely.
Oven 170 fan
Roll out and cut out the heart shapes.
Place each one onto a lined baking tray, add a candy floss stick in the middle and then place a couple of small chocolate pieces on the dough.
Place a heart on the top and gently push down to seal
Bake for 10 mins until just turning golden
Leave to cool before decorating
